You'll Never Go Wrong With A Spare!

You might be preparing your quarterly presentation in the executive boardroom, warming up for a sales pitch for your most important customer, or sitting down to watch a film with your family.

Suddenly the excitement of being prepared is interrupted by the realization that the lamp in your projector is just a little too old, or maybe it took too big of a bump during your travel. If you have a spare lamp, you can change it immediately. If not, you imagine yourself on a long stretch of road in the middle of the desert with a flat tire, 50 miles to the next gas station and no spare in the trunk. What will you do?

Infocus LP130: King of the Mini-Projectors

Infocus LP130: King of the Mini-Projectors
Posted: 11-20-06

The Infocus LP130 is a legendary projector in boardrooms all across corporate America. The Infocus LP130 is probably one of the most widely used and loved projectors for businessmen and women because of its super small size and sturdy handling. The projector itself weighs under 3 pounds and its dimensions of 5x17x22 centimeters make it an absolute breeze when traveling, whether it be on a road trip or by airplane. And just because the Infocus LP130 is small doesn’t mean it doesn’t pack a powerful punch when it comes to specifications. This projector has it all or at least everything you need to make a presentation go-off without hiccup or hassle. For example, the projector claims a native resolution of 1024x768 pixels and a maximum resolution of 1280x1024 pixels operating under an aspect ratio of 4:3.
The projector lamp that is included inside the projector is also impressive. The SPLAMPLP1 projector lamp is one of the smallest UHP projector lamps ever manufactured and pumps out a brilliant 1100 ANSI lumens, which provides for the projectors 400:1 contrast ratio.
The 120W projector lamp also has a standard lamp life of 2000 hours and is 120 watts. MyProjectorLamps.com is proud to sell replacement projector lamps for the LP130 – they can be found by clicking the link found here –
SPLAMPLP1.
The projector lamp retails for $289.97 and we can ship it to you overnight with FedEx.Infocus starting shipping this projector in December of 2003 and hasn’t stopped manufacturing the product as of yet. It is one of Infocus’ all-time, best selling projectors and a mainstay for the company that has had trouble in the past competing with larger brand names such as Sony and Philips. This projector and projector lamp are highly recommended by MyProjectorLamps.com.

Sanyo PLV-70 Projector with Optional Zoom Lens

Sanyo PLV-70 Projector with Optional Zoom Lens!
Posted: 03-01-07

One very important aspect of any projection system that seems to go unnoticed at times is the lens. Most consumers are concerned about ANSI lumens, resolution and contrast ratio, however a good lens can make a huge difference in overall picture quality. The Sanyo PLV-70 is a home theatre projector that offers choices in lens replacements so that you may optimize your viewing experience.

There are not many projectors out there that give the option to change your lens, but if you are interested in higher-end models, make sure the projector offers this feature. The Sanyo PLV-70 has 2 different types of lenses you can upgrade to including a Long Zoom Lens and a Short Zoom Lens. It is all about projector placement, and if you want to mount your projector further from your screen, it is best to replace with a zoom lens.

The zoom lenses offer better clarity through better focus, and prevent optical irregularities such as curvature at the ends of your picture. Much like the lens of a fine camera, it can make a huge difference in the quality.

Not to be outdone, the Sanyo PLV-70’s brightness also can stand up against other expensive machines with 2200 ANSI lumens. This machine is quite bright, even with ambient light present, however it is still a home theater projector and should be kept for this kind of use.

Contrast Ratio is not bad at 900:1 and coupled with an incredible native resolution of 1366x768p, this is one powerful home theatre projector. The PLV-70 has many inputs and has HD compatibility up to 1080i.

The reason why the PLV-70 is so bright is because it uses a 200W UHP projector lamp. The lamp lasts an average of 2000 hours and can be purchased by clicking here PLV-70

The PLV-70 is e great projector in the mid-level projector market and should not cost an arm and a leg since it has been a couple years since it came out. Check one out today!

Sanyo PLC-SU25 LCD and DLP projectors

Sanyo PLC-SU25: 610-303-5826 Projector Lamp
In recent years LCD and DLP projectors have solved a problem that has been at the tip of the tongue for critics of projectors for years – and that is low contrast ratio. However, there are some projectors from before the contrast ratio boom era* that perform extremely well, especially in technical or classroom situations. The Sanyo PLC-SU25 projector and its 180W 610-303-5826 projector lamp (POA-LMP53) is a glaring case in point. The Sanyo PLC-SU25 operates on a 3LCD platform. Meaning that lights passes through 3 poly-silicon LCD wafers (red, green and blue) to meet in small box within the projector, where they are deflected by a light sensitive prism to produce one cohesive image. This arrangement of light then flows through the projector’s lens and out onto the wall or screen. By using the 3LCD method, the Sanyo PLC-SU25 is able to produce stunning clarity and resolution.

The resolution on the projector is 1280x1024 pixels and it operates with an aspect ratio of 4:3. The projector is fully HDTV compatible and features component video, a DVI-I input and a sync up for any personal computer or laptop. The Sanyo PLC-SU25 also features a digital zoom that enables the user to fit any desired image into any difficult or limiting environment. The Sanyo PLC-SU25 projector also boasts a powerful projector lamp that helps it perform at its absolute optimum level. The 610-303-5826 projector lamp produces a 1750 ANSI lumens rate and has a maximum power rating of 260W. The projector lamp for the Sanyo PLC-SU25 projector can also be identified as a POA-LMP53 and is available here at MyProjectorLamps.com for only $289.97! Panasonic TY-LA1500 Projector Lamp for PT40LC12

Panasonic Lamp Lifeby ssirkefiw ,Jan 28 '07
Pros: Great Picture and SoundCons: Expensive lamps with shorter life span than booklet says.
We purchased this tv (Panasonic HDTV PT-40LC12) 4 years ago, with no knowledge of a 5000 hour lamp usage. But fortunately we also purchased a extended warranty, we have had to have the lamp replaced 4 times, now it is telling us it is time for our fifth one. Our warranty is now up and the new warranties out there will only replace lamps once. We never get 5000 hrs before they burst or tell us to replace. It is just my husband and I who live here and we both work, so the tv isn't on very often since we have one in our bedroom. Some days it isn't even used. I try to clean the air filter every time I dust, thinking that would extend the life of the lamp, but it doesn't seem to matter. From my research this is also one of the most expensive lamps out there. I really love this television, but when I go to replace it, I will research the lamp times and price better.
